1 cup evaporated milk, divided
50 caramels
1 pkg. German Chocolate cake mix
3/4 cup butter
1 package chocolate chips
In a double boiler, melt 1/2 cup evaporated milk and the caramels. In a separate bowl, mix together cake mix, 1/2 cup evaporated milk and butter. Put 1/2 of cake mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Spoon caramel over top and add 1 package of chocolate chips. Spoon remaining cake mixture in mounds on top and spread around in swirls. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
